Custom Sublimation
Custom sublimation at Rekhi Sports is the decoration and garment-engineering path for all-over printed sportswear where colour, panel registration, and wash durability must survive real match and training use. Sublimation is not simply âprinting a logo on a shirt.â It is a coordinated process of fabric choice, artwork preparation, cutting alignment, sewing discipline, and inspection against a sealed standard. Since 2003 in Sialkot, we have produced sublimated programmes for clubs, academies, distributors, and brands that need export-ready kits â not temporary event merch that fails after a few washes.
Buyers often underestimate how much manufacturing control sublimation requires. Artwork that looks correct on a screen can still misregister across seams, lose sharpness on the wrong fabric, or bleed visually when panels are sewn under tension. The unique angle of this page is industrial sublimation as a production system: from file readiness through panel print, cut, sew, and final check â with OEM, ODM, and private label finishing available under the same factory roof.
Where sublimation creates commercial value
Sublimation is the preferred route for full-colour match jerseys, training tops with complex graphics, esports and lifestyle sportswear with continuous patterns, and team programmes that need numbering and sponsor layouts integrated into the design rather than applied as fragile afterthoughts. It allows colour coverage that embroidery and small-area screen print cannot economically deliver across an entire garment.
It is not automatically the right method for every product. Heavy fleece, some woven constructions, and certain dark-base requirements may need alternative decoration strategies. Honest manufacturing advice includes saying when sublimation is the wrong tool. That honesty protects launch calendars and brand reputation in North America, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Middle East, and other markets where returns and remakes travel slowly and cost quickly.
Custom sublimation also supports low MOQ pilot kits when a club or brand wants to test a design before committing to a full season order. Low quantity does not excuse weak registration or incomplete numbering checks. The sealed sample still governs. Bulk expands from that standard when demand grows.
Artwork, fabric, and colour discipline
Successful sublimation begins before ink meets fabric. Artwork must be sized for panels, account for seam allowances, and leave critical logos away from high-stress fold lines when possible. Fonts for names and numbers need clearance and stroke weight that remain readable after print and wash. Sponsor placements must respect competition rules your organisation follows â we execute placement; you confirm regulatory constraints.
Fabric selection matters because sublimation performance depends on polymer behaviour and fabric construction suitable for the intended print result. Weight, stretch, opacity, and handfeel should match the sport and climate your athletes face. A lightweight match jersey and a heavier training piece are different commercial products even when they share a crest. Material confirmation before bulk print prevents shade and handfeel surprises across cartons.
- Print-ready artwork review for panel layout and critical logo zones
- Fabric confirmation for weight, stretch, opacity, and intended use
- Proto or fit sample with decoration verification before bulk print calendars lock
- Sealed standard controlling colour expectation, placement, and construction
From printed panels to finished garments
On the floor, sublimation programmes move through panel printing, curing as required by the process, cutting with registration awareness, stitching that respects printed alignment, and finishing. Operators must follow the sealed sample, not improvisation. A crest that drifts toward a seam, a number that sits uneven across sizes, or a side panel that fails to match its neighbour are customer-facing failures â not minor workshop variations.
Size grading adds another layer of control. Artwork scaled for a medium body length will not automatically behave correctly across a full youth-to-adult size run unless panel files and cutting markers are planned for grading. Clubs and schools that reorder annually feel grading mistakes immediately when last yearâs Large does not match this yearâs Large. Pattern and print planning together protect that continuity.
Private label finishing can sit on top of sublimated goods: neck labels, woven crests where specified, hang tags, polybag stickers, and retail or team packing formats. OEM buyers who supply complete tech packs receive production to those packs. ODM buyers who need development help receive pattern and construction guidance before print calendars start. Sublimation is a decoration method inside the wider manufacturing system â not a standalone gimmick.
Quality control on sublimated programmes
Floor QC for sublimation emphasises colour consistency across panels, registration at seams, numbering clarity, stitch integrity through printed zones, and wash-risk awareness for critical graphics. Inline checks catch problems while correction is still possible. End-of-line checks confirm the garment still matches the sealed standard before packing. Records matter because export disputes are decided by evidence, not memory.
Packing must protect printed surfaces. Poor carton pressure, incorrect folding, or missing polybags can mark or crease goods before they reach the athlete. Export packing lists should reflect size ratios and design variants accurately â especially when multiple home, away, and training colourways ship in one consignment. Worldwide export readiness includes those packing disciplines.
How to brief a custom sublimation order
Share sport or category, home/away/training requirements, size range including youth if needed, destination market, quantity plan, artwork files, font preferences for names and numbers, and any competition placement rules. If you have a reference kit you like for fit, send measurements or a physical sample. Tell us whether the programme is OEM production-only, ODM development-assisted, or private label finished.
Ask how artwork is checked before print, how panels are controlled through cut and sew, how the sample is sealed, and how bulk colour is kept faithful to that sample. Those questions reveal whether a supplier understands sublimation manufacturing or only sells printed images online.
Rekhi Sports in Sialkot since 2003 manufactures custom sublimation programmes with the same OEM, ODM, and private label accountability that governs our wider apparel work. Bring your crest, colourways, and season plan. We will map a practical sampling and production path so your kits leave the factory ready for the field â and ready for the markets you serve.
