Upload Tech Pack — Faster OEM Quotes

Uploading or sharing a tech pack is the fastest way to move an OEM brief from interest to a sampling plan with Rekhi Sports. This page explains what to send, how to organise files, and what happens after we receive them. Since 2003 our Sialkot team has reviewed packs for sportswear, teamwear, activewear, and corporate programmes — and incomplete uploads remain the main reason quotes stay provisional.

If you need ODM development, still upload what you have: sketches, references, partial measurements, and priorities. Label gaps honestly so we do not treat placeholders as sealed specs.

Preferred file contents

Send construction sheets or clear flats, graded size charts with units and method, bill of materials direction, artwork in vector form when possible, placement guides, and packing or labelling notes. Include a short cover note with category, destination, quantity structure, decoration method, and ship window if fixed. Version numbers and dates on filenames prevent “final_final_v3” confusion.

• Artwork package — logos, colours, placements.
• Cover note — commercial fields the PDF may omit.
• Reference photos — when physical samples are not yet shared.

File types and practical limits

PDF packs travel well for review. Spreadsheet size charts are useful when grades are detailed. Vector formats (such as AI, EPS, or SVG depending on your workflow) help decoration. High-resolution PNG or TIFF can support print proofs when vectors are unavailable. Avoid relying only on phone photos of sketches without measurements.

If email limits block large packages, split logically — pack, artwork, size chart — with the same programme name in every subject or message. Confirm that all parts arrived. WhatsApp can notify that an email pack was sent; it should not be the only home for critical files if your organisation needs audit trails.

What we check on receipt

We check whether the garment is manufacturable as drawn, whether measurements and construction agree, whether artwork matches intended methods, and whether packing notes are present for export. Clarifying questions will target contradictions — for example stretch fabric with embroidery density that risks puckering, or light GSM with opacity-critical pale colours.

A quote based on an uploaded pack should state assumptions when something remains open. Do not treat a provisional number as a sealed commercial contract until materials and sample approvals catch up.

Security and version control on your side

Send packs through channels your company allows for supplier sharing. Appoint one internal owner for the current version. When marketing changes a logo, update the factory with a clear “supersedes version X” note. Silent dual versions are a bulk defect waiting to happen.

Private label artwork for hang tags and woven labels should be included when presentation is in scope. Trim lead times often sit on the critical path.

Common upload mistakes and easy fixes

Sending artwork without placement dimensions forces guessing. Sending a size chart without units forces clarification delays. Sending three zip files named “new” without a manifest forces version risk. Fixes are simple: dimension placements, label units, include a one-page file list with versions and dates.

Another mistake is uploading a pack for Style A while the email body discusses Style B quantities. Always match cover note and filenames to the same programme reference. If you manage multiple clubs, put the club code in the filename.

If your pack is bilingual or uses internal shorthand, add a short glossary for critical terms. Factories should not decode private acronyms under time pressure. Clarity is part of OEM professionalism.

Physical samples alongside digital packs

Digital packs move fast; physical references still resolve handfeel and construction debates. If you can courier a reference garment or approved blank, say so in the upload cover note and track the tracking number in the same programme thread. Mark whether the physical piece is a fit standard, fabric standard, or both.

When no physical piece exists, lean harder on GSM ranges, construction callouts, and clear photos of seams and decoration. ODM can still proceed, but expect an extra proto round to replace what a reference would have taught in one touch. Budget that round in your season plan rather than treating it as unexpected delay.
